CDK Global is seeking aDirector, Operations & Compliance!
This position requires experience in audit, regulatory compliance, contract review, inventory reconciliation, process controls, and an understanding of internal controls (SOX).
The CVR Director of Operations & Compliance will be responsible for the Operations and Compliance activities for Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR) and AVRS, subsidiaries of CDK Global, Inc. The Director of Operations & Compliance Manager will report to the VP/General Manager of CVR
Duties & Responsibilities of the Director of Operations & Compliance
Regulatory Compliance State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) (all states)
. Coordinate state-mandated audits of CVR operations
. Complete periodic inventory of state-owned license plates and stickers. Investigate and resolve differences as needed
. Liaise with auto dealers regarding onsite inventory and completion of state-mandated inventory forms
. Ensure state-required inventory reconciliations are performed according to state mandated timelines.
. Ensure state-required audit processes are performed according to state-mandated timelines. Ensure reconciling items are resolved.
. Coordinate ensuring operational compliance with state-mandated processes and standards
- Inventory processing
- Dealership processor certification
- Dealership security standard compliance
- Find operational and compliance issues and inefficienciesand work with state directors and other CVR personnel to remedy compliance and operational issues.
. Liaise with SOX Compliance team, internal and external auditors, including:
- Identifying, educating and engaging control owners
- Ensuring control documentation is updated on a timely basis
- Coordinating the document request process
- Notifying control owners of requested items
- Following up on outstanding/late items
- Uploading to electronic storage repositories
- Coordinating onsite fieldwork (schedule meetings, obtain badges, secure work facilities)
- Providing periodic updates on project status
- Escalating issues as needed
- Coordinate, gather data from, and prepare artifacts and evidences associated with regular audit control associated (weekly, quarterly and annual) meetings and reviews
- Host auditors for control walkthrough and evidence examination meetings
. Ability to work across and break down organizational silos in order to drive results
. Perform other tasks as assigned
. Develop a general understanding of the business
. Build relationships with control owners, management, state DMV personnel, and other CVR functions (i.e. Research and Development, Finance, Sales, Operations, Warehouse, DMV Audit, etc.)
. Assist business leaders with the identification and resolution of internal control and efficiency related issues
. Work collaboratively with risk assurance functions (i.e. Internal Audit, SOX Compliance, Ethics & Compliance, Global Security Office and Enterprise Risk Management) as it relates to the proactive identification and management of risks and opportunities
. Bachelor's Degree
. Prior experience with regulatory compliance - a good understanding of contracts and regulations
. Prior experience with inventory reconciliation processes
.An ability to think critically, prioritize efforts, and drive results
. Solid oral, written and project management skills
. Attention to detail
. Good understanding of SOX 404 and Service Organization Controls Reporting a plus
. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
. Ability to effectively work with new, changing or unstructured situations
. Ability to travel on a moderate basis (up to 30%)
