Job Description DBR is seeking a Construction Administrator for our Austin office. Candidates must have an Associates Degree or higher in Engineering/Architecture, or equivalent. Must be proficient at reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Must be capable of performing field observations of contractor's operations to see that they comply with contract documents. Responsibilities and Duties The Construction Administrator is the firm's point of contact for construction administrations tasks within his/her team. The following responsibilities are typical of but are not all encompassing. Each person is required to help out on duties necessary to deliver a quality product on schedule. Prepare observation reports on work performed by contractor Review periodical change proposal for accuracy with contractors Review and document shop drawing submittals Perform project site visits, addressing installation issues in the field Review MEP work to verify specifications and code compliance Review and comment on change order pricing, as required Survey existing conditions at project site during design phase and coordinate in field between disciplines Respond to RFIs Attend meetings with clients during construction phase, as necessary Attend final inspection with construction service representative Responsible for maintaining client relations Produce final punch list Evaluate value engineering & due diligence studies Research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials As required, provide support to other construction administration members with daily objectives, including but not limited to surveys Active participation in project team meetings and necessary department meetings Available for equipment startups (generator, fire alarm, air handler, etc.) Review close out documents Practice and observe on-the-job safety for self as well as those accompanying you on site visits Continue learning process by attending in-house seminars and continuing education opportunities outside the office Company Description With a small office on Mercer Street, David W.
