Summary of Role:
ThisDirect Salesrole is for sales of solar cells and solar panels in the US and solar cells in Europe. By leveraging our funnel of pre:existing customers and qualified leads, the Direct Sales Professional (DSP)will sell directly to prospective solar customers, often via face to face appointments, as well as over the phone/internet, while working closely with the Sales Manager in the US and Product Management. Successful sales are done with preset pricing and product specifications. The Direct Sales role is expected to deliver high sales conversion rates and high customer satisfaction, resulting from sales and marketing best practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for direct sales in assigned territories in the US. The Sales Professional is the primary point of sales contact to the end customer. Ultimately, the DSP must be a proven closer of high:end products in a highly competitive environment.
SunPower makes the highest performing solar cell made in volume for earth:based solar power. The challenge facing the DSP will be selling a premium product/solution in the face of low price competition and low end:customer knowledge of products/brands/etc. The DSP must utilize a value:based sales approach, harnessing the value of our industry:leading products, premium workmanship, and a world:class customer experience.
To succeed in this role, a DSP must personally deliver an unparalleled customer experience, exuding professionalism while guiding the customer from the initial development phase of the sales process through the closing of the deal, and onward to future sales. Sales training, a structured sales process and selling tools will be made available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
:Maintain minimum revenue quota, margin quota and minimum sales volumes on a quarterly basis and maintain a 12 month sales forecast.
:Travel to trade shows, classes, seminars, and any other activities outside regular responsibilities as directed by management. Travel is expected to be approximately 50
:Conduct effective sales communication with customers. Set up sales meetings with clients, preparing presentations, agreements, etc.
