About the Team
The Plutora North America Pre:Sales Engineering team is transforming how we drive large deals with Fortune 500 companies by executing the Plutora vision of Enterprise:wide visibility and Predictable Software Delivery with our prospects throughout the sales cycle. By leading and challenging our prospects and customers to a provocative point of view on visibility and predictability across release management and DevOps, we are able to define solutions to drive business outcomes and build industry and business thought leadership. Members of our Pre:Sales Engineering team are driven by extreme passion and knowledge of the release management and DevOps space, with knowledge and passion for the space being crucial to the success of the team.
About the Position:
As a Pre:Sales Engineer, you will support the sales team by taking a consultative role in customers evaluation processes, including shaping requirements and use case planning, delivering technical demonstrations and proof of concepts, resolving troubleshooting issues, and managing correspondence with other Plutora functions. You articulate and educate on technical and functional concepts to a variety of audiences, including release and delivery managers, architects, IT operations professionals, and senior IT management, as part of a technical and business value approach. You are the unique person who can bridge these worlds and map the business drivers and outcomes into a Predictable Software Delivery strategy. Passion and knowledge of the release management and DevOps space is of paramount importance for success in this role.
50 of your time will be spent in the field, performing deep discovery of customer pain points from both the technical and business perspective, and subsequently proposing a release and/or environment management solution. You are a technologist at heart and will create and deliver custom product demonstrations to support the sales cycle, successfully manage and execute technical proof of concepts (POCs) on:site or remote, collect feedback from the field and work with Product Management and Engineering to incorporate product roadmap changes
50 of your time will be at the office focused on account planning, supporting marketing with evangelism activities (writing blogs, participating in demo:driven webinars, speaking at industry events), feeding into the continuous improvement of the Plutora product suite and vision as well as mentoring other members of the Pre:Sales Engineering team
Position Deliverables:
30 Days:
Complete the on:boarding process and learn the Plutora Platform
Shadow other Pre:Sales Solution Engineers and Solution Consultants in customer meetings, demonstrating ability to start leading a current engagement
60 Days:
Become Plutora certified
Deliver a presentation to the team around a current opportunity
Internalize three customer success stories and lead one or more current engagements
Deliver first technical demonstration and proof of concept
90 Days:
Help progress the sales lifecycle with the delivery of customized demos of your products
Lead and contribute to new projects designed to allow the Sales organization to scale
Participate and contribute to our knowledge base.
About You:
Experience in defining and deploying Release Management and Test Environment Management processes
Strong understanding and experience with leading PPL, ALM and ITSM toolsets and how they relate to each other as part of the End to End delivery lifecycle
Solid background in IT Delivery, Operational support or consulting, with experience in process analysis and improvement
Deep understanding of enterprise technologies and business context from a people, process and technology perspective
A passion for selling and winning : a demonstrated track record of closing technical enterprise deals through consulting and influencing outcomes by providing thou
