Job Description:/h3:
The Training and Development function at Main Street Renewal is focused on providing relevant and effective training to all of our employees as it relates to how our employees do their job, how they become experts at their craft, and how they develop in their career. The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of Main Street Renewals learning and development materials and programs that support these three areas of focus. This position will also have the unique opportunity to help create and build a learning culture that is learner:centric and strongly aligned with the culture and core values of Main Street Renewal. This position reports to the VP of Human Resources.
Essential Functions
:Conduct business needs assessments in order to develop relevant training materials and training programs.
:Design and deliver training materials and programs utilizing the appropriate learning platforms that meet the needs of the employees and the organization.
:Work closely with and support our subject matter experts to assist them with job specific training needs.
:Ensure effective delivery of training and development solutions that support the overall organization and its goals.
:Implement, monitor and communicate internal metrics to track and improve training effectiveness.
:Plan and manage projects and programs effectively and efficiently.
:Collaborate with HR partners to create development solutions that align with our overall employee experience and HR philosophy.
:Foster collaborative partnerships with our managers and executive leadership team.
:Assist with special projects as assigned by the VP, Human Resources.
Education and Experience Guidelines
:Bachelors degree in relevant field.
:4 plus years experience in learning development or instructional design and corporate training is required.
:Alignment with and enthusiasm about Main Street Renewals Core Values.
:Proficiency with content development, training creation, and delivery of training materials across multiple learning platforms.
:Demonstrated ability to develop a variety of training programs related to the needs of the organization.
:Demonstrated ability to deliver training on a variety of topics including some technical training.
:Innovative thinker able to find new solutions for a variety of learning needs throughout the organization.
:Ability to plan and organize effectively.
:Proficiency with LMS systems.
:Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
:Must have a service:minded approach in all aspects of the job.
:Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
