Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm and always on call as needed.


Responsible for administration of the core system, core database, core software, core controls, and core scheduled & unscheduled maintenance. Additionally, the manager is responsible for the administration of all third party interfaces to the financial core with the intention to ensure a reliable and secure environment for processing member data. These interfaces include but are not limited to ATMs and EFT, Online, Voice, and Text Banking, and Loan Origination & Servicing software. On-call 24x7 to respond to all IT related problems.

• Manage and maintain the overall core financial systems, security and back-up files.
• Coordinates and implements 3rd party integrations with the core Credit Union systems.
• Analyzes complex data systems and documents data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies
• Oversees and develops automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information from database systems
• Oversees all fraud monitoring, reconnaissance and data gathering in response to any incidents.
• Oversees maintenance and upkeep of data mining databases. e.g. MCIF etc.
• Responsible for magnetic tape, hard copy records, back-ups, and system logs in accordance with security requirements.
• Identifies all data processing errors and problems and implements resolutions..
• Develops security requirements; oversees systems audits and ensures log maintenance.
• Coordinates tasks to be performed on the core computer system.
• Responds to IT problems or needs on a 24 hours a day basis (on-call).
• Coordinates and inputs all reports, data, postings, etc. provided by outside agencies (examples: ACH, VSI insurance, share draft postings, payrolls, etc.).
• Manages generation of output to outside agencies (examples: credit bureau, insurance, etc.).Perform all other related duties as assigned.
• Project a confident and knowledgeable demeanor that includes excellent communication, skills, decisiveness, and ownership of the IT Department responsibilities
• Supports a positive and productive work environment by advancing Management’s directives and by consistently demonstrating a positive example for others.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Must have knowledge of relations pertaining to personnel law and compliance.
• Knowledge of regulations specific to Credit Union operations, including Federal Reserve Bank rules and procedures, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML/& OFAC), CIP, FACTA, laws governing use of negotiable instrument, laws governing notary publics, operating rules and regulations of Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Reserve Bank as they relate to member accounts, wire transfers and other related statutes.
• Must have a working knowledge of networking protocols. TCP/IP SMTP, SNMP etc.
• Knowledge of Windows networking infrastructure, operating systems and application support.
• UNIX knowledge is necessary.
• Must have excellent knowledge of relational database theory, query language protocols and practices.
• Must have a professional level of knowledge of computers and specific knowledge about the programming, operation and maintenance of computers.
• Must be able to successfully train and motivate employees at all levels of the organization.
• Must have the ability to independently organize, manage, implement and prioritize projects.
• Ability to express oneself, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to prepare and maintain confidential records and reports.
• Ability to install computer cables and equipment.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field is preferred however additional education and experience in technology from vocational, private, self-paced, or similar sources is acceptable.
• Six years experience administering databases or similar position required. Manager experience preferred.
