The experience we would expect the ideal person to deliver is:
Oversees the planning and controls the flow of materials, products, services and related systems information from point of origin to point of delivery. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, or critical parts availability, material handling, import:export licensing, third:party warehousing and shipping/receiving activities. Develops and implements logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs within budget constraints. Provides financial reporting and reconciliation of inventories. Exhibits thorough understanding of international Letters of Credit and other forms of banking documents and international shipments. Interacts with vendors and peers in Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Product Development personnel to optimize systems and procedures. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
:Directs activity across large multi:functional area(s) controls the business unit cost and drives strategic cross functional initiatives.
:Significantly impacts SunPowers success by leading solutions that reduce cost, improve working capital and provide a superior level of service to our customer.
:Advises executive leadership on overall policy and long:term project success.
:Applies expert knowledge, managing staff to resolve complex business and technical issues.
:Introduces state:of:the:art technology and processes, encouraging learning, challenge and debate.

:Success in this role will provide SunPower with a world class logistics cost structure and inventory turnover.
:Engages in decision:making that governs short: and medium:term project planning and implementation.
:Manages activities of other managers and/or senior level individual contributors.
:Plans, directs and monitors staff activities.
:Able to influence thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations : without damaging relations.
:Responsible for developing and delivering performance reviews and compensation decisions.
:Demonstrates leadership in applying SunPower values both within team and with others in adjacent organizations.
