If you are customer service focused, enjoy being part of a collaborative team, and want to work in a fast:paced environment, please read onProvides initial customer service to all patients including but not limited to greeting patients, scheduling and confirming patient appointments using a multi:line phone, performing data entry into the NextGen software system for patient information, and creating patient filesFacilitates patient check:in and check:out. Explain payment options, including sliding scale fees, Medicare, Medicaid, and other forms of payment assistanceCollects and posts patient payments; prepare deposits and follow established cash handling proceduresCompletes patient intakes, income screenings, and conducts insurance verifications and authorizationsProvides conflict resolution and responds to patient grievancesCreates and maintains confidential patient files and records; files accordinglyComplete other duties as assignedHigh school diploma or GED requiredSix months prior experience in a professional administrative or related capacity is requiredPrior medical office or healthcare setting experience preferredProficiency in Spanish is preferred
