Job Description:/h3:
The Center Director will be responsible for the day:to:day overall operations of the facility and maintain an environment of integrity, fairness, compassion and excellence. The Director must have extensive knowledge of childcare management and early education and must have the business skills to manage the administrative, operational, and financial aspects of the facility. The Director will be responsible for compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines while supporting our mission to enhance the learning and development of each child. She/he will hire and train staff for the school and implement the Learning Experience curriculum. The Director will market the facility and our programs and ensure that the staff provides the best possible learning and care experience for the children in our programs.
Responsibilities:
:Implements school policies, procedures and systems to ensure a safe, healthy environment in compliance with Franchise and Texas State Standards
:Plans and participates in marketing and special events
:Optimizes occupancy of building
:Responsibly manages staff scheduling and budget
:Effects change required for licensing and franchise compliance and center improvement
:Recruits, hires, orients, trains, supervises and evaluates staff
:Leads monthly staff meetings and training with 25+ teachers
:Productively manages time and consistently meets deadlines and goals.
:Adapts to change with confidence and positive attitude
:Reacts productively to suggestions and critique
:Able to work flexible hours
:Represents the school to the community, parents, visitors and staff with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications:
:A minimum of 2 years as a Center Director at a licensed childcare center is preferred
:Must meet all criteria for a State of Texas Childcare Director credential
:Previous experience operating and managing all aspects of a school with a capacity of at least 100:150 children, including business management,
:Classroom teaching experience in an early childhood facility
:Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
:Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
:Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
:Strong organization skills, able to multi:task, and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast:paced environment
:Highly professional and dependable
:Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet
:Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
Job Type: Full:time
Salary: 35,000.00 to 45,000.00 /year
