Additional Information
Purpose
For the Texas Engineering Executive Education division within the Cockrell School of Engineering, provide program coordination and sales support for Engineering Professional Development programs as well as occasional onsite coordination support for conferences and Executive Master's programs.
Essential Functions
Manages a portfolio of engineering professional development courses and interfaces with both corporate clients and individuals in support of business development. Manages engineering professional development courses. Performs student/participant communications and services, instructor communication and services, course material coordination, on-site and online coordination, website updates and postings and mailing and shipping. Occasionally provides onsite coordination support for conferences and Executive Master's programs. Handles program budgeting, including: estimation, actual costs data entry, travel reimbursement, faculty compensation processing, invoicing, and record-keeping. Contacts prospects for Engineering Professional Development programs. Follows up with potential prospects to answer questions or put them in contact with the appropriate TxEEE personnel, performs data entry of customers into TxEEE's CRM Program, places cold calls and emails and warm calls and emails to solicit new participants for TxEEE programs, follows up with customers as outlined in the sales process. Creates course preparation materials and evaluation forms, compiles evaluation results and participates in debriefing process for both open enrollment as well as custom courses. Ensures materials for custom courses are packaged and delivered or shipped to company to arrive prior to the actual date the onsite training course is to occur. Manages vendor orders, catering orders, and room reservations. Prepares materials used at EET courses as well as both public and company information sessions. Coordinates with the marketing department to ensure marketing materials for company information sessions are requested and delivered in a timely manner. Completes accreditation applications, continuing education unit documentation, and certification and associated applications. Completes registration procedures.
Licenses:
Class \"C\" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving
Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License
within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed. Three years of professional experience planning and coordinating short-courses, seminars, workshops or conferences. Knowledge of instructional and audiovisual technology. Two years of sales experience. Three years of experience with clerical functions. Experience using Microsoft Office. Experience with email, the web, and electronic documents. Exceptional organizational skills are needed for multi-tasking in a complex and busy office. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Superior interpersonal communication skills. Customer service focus and flexibility required. Professional demeanor and interactions and positive attitude. Outstanding written and oral language skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff and outside groups.
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and familiarity with engineering continuing education programs. More than three years of professional experience planning and coordinating short-courses, seminars, workshops and conferences. At least three years of sales experience marketing educational programs or services. Shows exceptional organizational skills, and can develop or streamline processes. Displays excellent customer service skills. Experience with budgeting. Has demonstrated experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems, databases, and UT applications such as Define and Mishell. Demonstrates knowledge of standard office machines.

Due to the nature of professional education, course coordination and administration may require work outside of regular business hours and periodic travel.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement
System of Texas (TRS), subject to the
position being at least 20 hours per week and at least
135 days in length.
