Screen Printing Specialist
Super Cheap Signs is growing and is looking for a Screen Printing Specialist Production Associate to join our team As we continue to steadily grow, now is the perfect time to bring on some top talent for our family fun and entrepreneurial work atmosphere. This role is a key part of our production team and supports the fulfillment of key customer orders. Egoless, team based environment in a fun, family owner, Austin Funk type work space with flexible hours based on team and customer needs. This role will work the 1st shift, 6:00am to 2:00pm. Role will be a 35 to 40 hour per week schedule through September then will scale back to part time based on work load. Ideal job for a semi:retired person or a part time student who wants to stay active in a high integrity team environment. About the Job:
The Screen Support Specialist will be responsible for screen printer customer orders. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Emulsion of screens, screen exposure and washout, screen reclaiming, screen preparation (tape and block:out), and de:inking of screens. Secondary activities would be to help in other areas of production. The ideal candidate must be able to perform repeated actions for the duration of the workday and show attention to detail.

What You will Do Here:

Check traveler for order/item that needs to be completed next.
Obtain screen, prep if necessary (masking tape and block:out), set:up on press.
Obtain coroplast for job, paying attention to quantity, color and flute direction.
Obtain ink from cabinet and prime the screen with ink. (Mix PMS colors as required).
Print job. Print second side and additional colors if required
Check quality of job in the beginning, during and at the end of the job
After completing the job, fill out appropriate paperwork. Buddy Check the traveler and update docket on the computer. Move completed job to shipping.
Set:down job on machine by de:inking the press flood bar and squeegee. Remove the screen. Remove excess ink from the screen and put it back into the ink bucket. Remove the masking tape from the screen. Take screen to the reclaim area.
Repeat process until all assigned jobs are complete
Clean work area ensuring that all ink buckets are sealed and returned to storage shelves.
Follow all Safety rules/policies
o Wear personal protective equipment as required
Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Head or Operations Director.

Emulsion: Preparation set:up. Mix emulsion, Fill scoop.Apply emulsion to prepared screens Emulsion preparation set:down. Clean scoop

Screen exposure and washout:
o Operate the exposure table to expose films on prepared screens
Process paperwork and apply labels
o Washout emulsion from exposed screens
o Place washed screens in rack to dry

Screen reclaiming:
o Wash inked screens in reclaim washing machine
o Power wash screens
o Apply emulsion remover and
