A day in the life of a System Administrator Windows Applications
The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the quality, stability and performance of MSR s application and database environments. This role works closely with Development and IT teams to ensure best practices are maintained for building, deploying, and supporting the company s in-house applications and software. The System Administrator works to automate application deployment and maintenance tasks, and works closely with the Development team to understand application requirements. The application administrator is also responsible for maintaining production environments for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Successful candidates will be able to gather requirements, develop technology processes, and implement automation to ensure processes are applied consistently and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
+ Create scripts for automating deployments and repeatable tasks.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments.
+ Manage deployment of data and application scripts to production database servers.
+ Manage Development, Integration and Test application environments.
+ Co-ordinate go-live planning, execute deployment and release activities.
+ Implement and improve release management tools and processes.
+ Work with development and IT teams to provide application tool support.
+ Design, implement, and maintain a highly-available application environments.
+ Provide second and /or third level support for application and database issues.
+ Maintain a consistent release process in a dynamic business environment
+ Maintain documentation while working independently

Experience with the following technologies is required:
+ PowerShell scripting and automation
+ Microsoft SQL scripting and Server management
+ Microsoft IIS
+ Microsoft Team Foundation Sever source control
+ .NET Applications
+ Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Experience with the following a plus:
+ C# and .NET Development
+ VMWare/vSphere
+ Server Deployment Automation
+ CI and Deployment tools (TeamCity, Octopus)
Desired Experience and Certification:
+ 3 7 yrs. Systems Administration or DevOps
+ Microsoft Certifications a plus
