Job Summary:The Department Assistant Senior performs a variety of administrative duties to support the assigned department(s). Responsibilities:Composes, types and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required.Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls, and handles general inquiries.Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements. Maintains assigned calendar(s).Establishes and maintains filing systems. Orders and stocks supplies.Performs general secretarial and administrative support for at least three (3) or more associates. Opens, screens, distributes, and handles incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail as appropriate. Types reports and other materials from notes, recording or rough drafts utilizing word processing or personal computer skills. Coordinates and prepares monthly/quarterly/yearly department reports.Coordinates activities of clerical personnel and prioritizes daily work assignments given. Leads department support staff and projects. Provides formalized training opportunities to clerical and professional staff.Assists in designing and/or monitoring capital, operating, and staffing budgets in collaboration with the Leadership Team member and managers. Maintains statistical information for department operations and evaluates information system needs.Performs other duties as assigned.May be required to be "on-call."QualificationsEducation:HS or EquivalentHigh school diploma or equivalent is required Two (2) years college is preferred and Five (5) years of related work experience is required. Up to two (2) years of college coursework may substitute for the required experience on an equivalent year-for-year basis. .
