Job Description

THE ROLE
The Loan Servicing Analyst performs loan servicing tasks to support the loan servicing department and fields calls from members. Works closely with Fulfillment, Accounting, Compliance, and Account Resolution departments to manage interim, post and loan delivery requirements. Coordinates and communicates effectively with other AMPLIFY mortgage employees as well as various third parties utilized in the process.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Services mortgage, business, and other types of loans as required by the business

Provides analytical support to Member Service Manager and the AVP of Loan Servicing

Ensures timely payment of taxes, insurance, mortgage insurance and other escrow disbursements of loans serviced

Administers tasks related to escrow accounts, including the disposition of incoming notifications regarding taxes and insurance

Handles inbound calls from members regarding active and paid off mortgage loans

Makes outbound calls as needed to respond to member inquiries

Meets quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics

Monitors delinquent taxes and force-placed insurance

Researches member service questions and provide resolutions to membership and team members as appropriate

Assists in escrow analysis research

Issues payoff statements, accept payments, and post daily payments as necessary

Prepares and records lien releases for paid in full loans

Assists in FSP End of Day balancing process

Performs new loan set-ups in FSP Servicing System and Servicing Director

Researches, reviews and analyzes member special requests including but not limited to partial releases, modifications, and other loss mitigation requests for management s consideration.

Assists with research and collection efforts of delinquent/ defaulted loans

Maintains accurate records of member contact, escalated issues, payment arrangements and loss mitigation efforts on Servicing Director

Maintains ongoing communication with supervisor, informing him/her of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility

Starting Pay
Up to $18/hour, commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

THE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of recent residential mortgage servicing and a minimum of 1 year experience in a financial services environment involving customer contact. 1+ years of experience with consumer/business loan servicing and collections is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be bondable.

Software & Equipment Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of or be able to quickly learn FSP loan servicing software and Servicing Director. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong proficiency using Excel. Knowledge of Ultra Data helpful but not required.

Other Qualifications

  • Understanding of current mortgage lending origination, processing and underwriting practices, processes, and products
  • Familiarity with RESPA, FDCPA, GLBA, federal and state laws related to loan servicing and loss mitigation
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage loan servicing process
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to analyze problems and provide the appropriate solution
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work
  • Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and through written correspondence
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within daily time constraints
