Established Audit Manager in Public Accounting (CPA Required) Location: Austin, TX The Audit Manager works closely with our team and our client's team on all phases of the engagement. This position is responsible for multiple phases audit for multiple clients. We apply our knowledge and experience to design and perform efficient audits, recommend solutions, and meet the challenges and opportunities facing our clients. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and completing audits; developing staff; and reviewing financial statements and related technical accounting issues. If you are a true auditor coming out of recent Public Accounting experience, please consider the following: Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (REQUIRED) Public Accounting experience (REQUIRED) at least 2 years of management experience preferred RECENT Public Accounting experience in the last 3 years preferred CPA (REQUIRED) Travel will be a portion of your responsibilities in this role Job Description: Team with Partners on proposals and business development calls Determining audit risk areas based on current events and trends within the client's business Facilitating staff as they evaluate internal controls design; identify key risks and controls, develop and or review audit programs, including evaluating benchmarks and perform controls optimization Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase client satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of firm personnel Preparing or reviewing all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness and accuracy Utilize proactive, effective communication with firm management Keeping abreast of latest developments and ensuring professional development through ongoing education Recognizing and informing firm management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks. Addresses situation before they come crises and develops solutions to avoid recurrence, Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis. Participants in the development of ways to meet client needs, contributes to proposal delivery. Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value. Monitor and control auditing staff. Takes a leadership role in professional, business or community organizations. Coach, train and develop auditing staff to upgrade their knowledge. Be seen as a role model for auditing professionals. Carry out practice management activities eg resourcing client billing etc. Undertake wider office activities, as required.
