Accomplished CPA Audit Manager Desired in Austin, TX Location: Austin, TX VALiNTRY Services is actively seeking suitably qualified high performing professionals (managers and above) to an assurance division of a Public Accounting client of ours. You will be involved in providing assurance services to our portfolio of international and local clients in the banking, securities, life and general insurance sectors. You will be responsible for the execution of the risk based audit approach and leading audit teams during the fieldwork. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide a variety of non-assurance services to our clients. You will be responsible for handling a portfolio of clients in a wide variety of business sectors. This will involve proactively managing and controlling the delivery of all aspects of audit assignments, including team management, budgets, billing process and client liaison. You will be expected to develop and maintain strong client relationships, establishing yourself as a primary client contact in relation to their audit and accounts matters. The role will involve audit work of an advanced technical nature as well as providing support to other departments within the firm. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (REQUIRED) Public Accounting experience (REQUIRED) at least 2 years of management experience preferred RECENT Public Accounting experience in the last 3 years preferred CPA (REQUIRED) Travel will be a portion of your responsibilities in this role Job Description: Provide management over a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audit and assurance service, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work. Achieve team and individual budgets and business plan/ performance objectives. Manages project financials, including budgets, timely billing and collection and variance recognition. Maintain the highest technical and professional standard. Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks. Addresses situation before they come crises and develops solutions to avoid recurrence, Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis. Participants in the development of ways to meet client needs, contributes to proposal delivery. Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value. Monitor and control auditing staff. Takes a leadership role in professional, business or community organizations. Coach, train and develop auditing staff to upgrade their knowledge. Be seen as a role model for auditing professionals. Carry out practice management activities eg resourcing client billing etc. Undertake wider office activities, as required. Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements in a wide variety of industries with the ability to manage to budget. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively. Consult, work with, and service client base to make recommendations on business improvement and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client. Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls. Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals. Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews. Actively participate in recruiting talent to the firm. Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars on a regular basis. Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
